Got the bike stripped down, ground down, filled and blasted. The frame had some smoothing and filling of spot weld indentations, and the holes on the frame for the rear cover mounts. The aluminum parts like wheel hubs, front fork lowers, and engine covers were polished.
The Honda CB50S (AC02) story...
Just acquired a 1980 or 1981 Honda CB50S, also known as an AC02 in Japan. It is a JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) bike, sold only for 3 years. It had hydraulic front disk brakes, an upgrade from the mechanical disk of the CB50 and CB50J models. It was said to have been brought to the US in a lot from Italy, sold to a friend in Virginia, then made its way to Texas. Somewhere along the line, someone added the clip-on handlebars and some rear-set footpeg mounts. This picture was shortly after I got it and added a vintage seat shell, shocks, and mounted the tires that were included with the sale. The bike is now broken down and getting stripped and ready for paint.
The CRFU50 is ON THE GROUND!!!
